With increasing demands for small, lightweight and inexpensive laptop computers, companies have come up with a brand new category of notebooks called netbooks or mini notebooks or subnotebooks. They usually have smaller screens and keyboards and offer reduced specifications and computing power but are perfectly suitable for general computing and web based applications. The screen size of netbooks ranges from 5’’ to over 13’’, while most, like the new Disney Eee PC, fall somewhere in between. Some of the key features such as an optical drive are omitted from the netbook due to which it is quite cheap.
