LifeBook U820 by Fujitsu: Cross between a Smartphone and Netbook
LifeBook U820 is a robust portable computing device developed by Fujitsu exclusively for those who seek performance in a diminutive form factor. It’s a convertible notebook that packs cutting edge hardware for optimum speed and jaw dropping multimedia performance. The LifeBook U820 charges a little bit extra as compared to other devices but it’s really worth it.
Like many other mobile computers the LifeBook U820 is also powered by an Intel Atom Processor Z530, which is known for its awesome computing capabilities. The processor is paired with a 1GB of DDR2 RAM running at a speed of 533MHz. So obviously this little Lifebook is nowhere near the processing power of an ordinary laptop like the Fujitsu-Siemens LifeBook T5010. Nevertheless, for its size the U820’s processor power is very respectiable and more than enough for watching high definition movies, playing 3D games or multi-tasking with various applications open at once. The screen size of LifeBook U820 is 5.6 inches only. It’s a WXGA display that is touch enabled and can support resolution up to 1280×800 pixels. Storage options include one 120 GB Toshiba HDD @ 4200 RPM. There are plenty of connectivity options including USB, WiFi, Bluetooth and others, making this computer perfect for browsing with Safari on Windows.
The LifeBook U280 sits in between a smartphone and a netbook. The keypad is kept small to maintain the compact form factor. This is the only downside of this device but if you are comfortable enough to use a mobile phone then you can easily master the keypad of this LifeBook too.
