Forget Me Not, My dear Apple Safari
As new browsers are introduced, we would get to see wars flaring up and products getting cheaper and better. That’s the way the invisible hand drives our economy in a capitalistic world.
It is usually not the big things that matter when it comes to users’ choice – it is the little things like add-ons and plugins that might matter too.
Forget Me Not is a wonderful plug-in that stores your session and lets the browser keep a record of the websites that you have been frequenting while you are quitting. You would know how important this is when you get these dumb messages that force you to close the browser down as to install something. Apparently, you can’t really fight this, but you can at least restore your session, can’t you?
Once Forget Me Not is installed you can safely quit Safari with as many websites as you like open. Once you’ve restarted, those websites will pop back up and let you carry on from where you left off – this feature is also present in firefox, by the way and having used that for sometime, I can assure you that the application saves time.
However, this will not happen if the safari is forced to quit all by itself or there is a power shut-down etc. If you manually close everything yourself, you won’t be seeing the sites again.
