How to Clean Up Site Tracks that Bypass Private Browsing
One of the most attractive charms of Apple Safari for Mac OS X 10.5 is its private browsing feature, which is expected to keep internet surfing private. According to Apple, the Private Browsing feature leaves no traces regarding the web browsing done by a particular user. Normally Safari stores all the information about websites a particular user has visited. It also keeps information that has been entered in the search bars, forms and user id, but if the Private Browsing is on (which can be found under the Edit menu) then such information is not stored and another user cannot trace the web activities of the previous users.
Apple also says that if the Private Browsing is off then the Reset Safari option can clear all the cache but this is not completely true. Clearing the cache or browsing the Web in private mode clears all the site tracks but only for a normal user who knows how to work on the Safari’s GUI (Graphical User Interface) but one can still go beyond that and recover all the site track bypassing the Private Browsing and Reset Safari functions. If you share your computer, then erasing your browsing record can be almost as important as the role the Symantec Norton Internet Security software plays on your computer. You can go to the terminal and type the following command in order to track all the web activities:
dscacheutil -cachedump -entries Host
This will list all the entries with time and access date. To completely get rid of it you have to manually enter the following command:
dscacheutil -flushcache

Safari aims high
Apple Safari since the day it was launched has created hype. There are so many web browsers available for windows already on the market, why would Apple Computer introduce a new one? This is a mind-boggling question isn’t it? Only time can evaluate its performance. Its new 3.1 version caught most Apple-watchers by surprise.
Apple Safari as compared to Internet Explorer or Mozilla Fox will still take some time to settle down in the web market. This new kid on the block is fast and sure to make networking & communication easy, but some problems are occurring with it. The font and toolbar option can be swapped around but the customize option is only accessible from the menu if you right click it and other main options are also not located in the menu. On various other grounds also Safari is criticized like the color of the tool bar is gray which hides the icons. So, it surely has a long way to go.
Apple safari lacks some things but it surely has great speed and sleek design. Everybody have different perspectives towards it, some like it some don’t. As they say time is the best remedy, so as Safari aims high lets see what happens!

Privacy in your Webspace
Privacy is something on which we can’t compromise. It plays a very important role in everybody’s life. So, why can we get it while browsing? We all need to work in an environment, which is free of any kind of noise traffic, so that we can put forth our ideas freely. We also want to keep our personal ideas and views private. Thus, Apple Safari provides a solution to this by introducing private browsing.
Internet business gets a whole new dimension through private browsing. It enables you to browse freely and keeps your online activities private. Whenever you browse for any Google Search, the history of the sites visited or your download history appears in the form of a list. Safari respects your privacy and the list is NEVER shown.
To start private browsing you need to follow a certain procedure. Use the private reset to empty your cache and clear safari of your browsing, forms, and search history. It is a one click clean slate.
It can’t get better than this .So just browse freely without any fear of losing your private content. Apple Safari is known for its neat and functional design and if anyone expects much more than this he is asking for the moon. So, Apple Safari keeps your matters in a private nutshell the way you want it!

Apple Safari: Winning the Heart of the Masses
Soon after its launch the Apple Safari has become the favorite web browser of most of the Windows users. It has rapidly earned a good reputation in the web browser’s market. The reason behind its instantaneous success is its superb features.
Apple has carefully identified the needs of the Internet users and has developed Safari for windows accordingly. Safari earns extra points because of its speed, animated menus, easy user interface and some other features which add quality and fascination to web surfing. The most prominent attraction of Safari is its speed. The start up time and web browsing speed is very good which helps you to view heavy web pages quickly. The menus and windows too are very user friendly with lots of useful options embedded in them. You will experience stunning graphics on Safari. Apple has used the same graphics engine in Safari that is used in MAC OS X. Apart form this, Safari ensures secured web browsing. It uses great encryption methods to ensure that your private information is safe on the web. Other features, which keep Safari ahead of other browsers, include pop-up blocker, private browsing, resizable text windows, easy bookmarks management etc. I think every one should try Safari once and feel the difference.

Safari gets one step ahead
Apple Safari for windows XP is still ahead of the Mozilla’s Firefox due to its animated pop up windows. For the first time, Apple has introduced great style of presenting the pop up windows which comes out when you select any particular option from the menu bar. For example: If you click on Edit on the menu bar and select the last option i.e. Preferences, you will get a window popped out on your screen. Now the way this window has been designed is just fantastic.
For the first time a unique creativity has been unfolded while developing animation for these kind of pop up windows for Safari. When you browse through different tabs in the window the size of the window gets adjusted automatically according to the options under a particular tab. For eg. Suppose you are on General tab, now if you click on Appearance tab then the overall size of the window shrinks according to the matter. Again if you click on General tab or any other tab the window will get automatically resized according to its contents. This feature makes Safari distinctively ahead because neither Microsoft’s Internet Explorer nor the Firefox gives this level of user interaction. Both of them provide the same old fashioned static windows. By applying simple creativity, Apple has earned lots of additional points.

No Right Click Menu for our Safari???
Day by day I am getting impressed by Safari on my Windows XP because some of its cool features like fast speed, animated pop-up windows etc. But suddenly I found some thing wrong which crashes all my thrill and excitement.
Last night I was surfing the web via my Safari and suddenly I got a web page which was showing an extra large image of my favorite game character. I decided to increase the viewable area by hiding the navigation toolbar which I do frequently on Mozilla Firefox. So, I just put my cursor on the navigation bar and right clicked my mouse. Oh! Where is the right click menu? It is something which is very necessary. Now, I have to go to View on the menu bar every time I want to hide the tool bar? And its shortcut is also not easy to remember. I was expecting a right click menu in which there should be an option to show/hide the navigation tool bar, but all in vain. Well I hope that in future these kind of small issues will get rectified which will boost my interest and enthusiasm while exploring the fun via Safari.
Having a menu without a right click option not only sounds ludicrous but is quite impractical too

Safari sets new Precedents: rigorous ACID 3 Browser Test Passed
The Safari on Windows version claims to be best performing browser out there, and recent test results have only supported this case. The ACID 3 Browser Test is not a full measure of a browser’s capability, but instead places the browser under one very difficult scenario. The logic is that if the browser can handle the incredibly arduous test page, then it can likely take on any challenge. And the ACID 3 test is certainly a daunting challenge. In comparison to its predecessor, the ACID 2 test, the ACID 3 test is designed more to test how the browser processes the DOM and deals with Javascript.
Only Opera and Safari appear close to passing, as both Internet Explorer and Firefox have yet to even try, and are far behind by all accounts. Both the Mac and Windows build of the Safari 3 version succeeded in overcoming the test. Proving just how universal the Safari browser is, and adding more arguments to why the Safari on Windows browser might eventually dominate the market.
