Firmware Upgrade Time for the Apple Handhelds
Apple has recently launched a new upgrade patch for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The company has also launched some minor bug fixes for both the devices. The basic aim of upgrading these handhelds is to increase overall system’s stability, make Safari web browser more reliable and improve performance.
The new upgrade file will provide a new platform to both Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. Once downloaded and installed, both the device’s operating system will be upgraded to version 2.1.1. The upgrade for iPhone improves overall stability plus it fixes issues like images saved from the Mail app do not display correctly in the Camera Roll. Apart from this it will also make Safari browser more stable and totally free from errors. All you get is glitch free web browsing on the go. The update released for the Apple iPod Touch fixes the issue with regards to Apple Lossless (ALAC) audio files. These files usually get skipped during playback but now it’s completely resolved.
Upgrade process is as usual very easy. Just connect the devices to the PC or Mac and launch the iTunes application. Then select the ‘Check For Updates’ option on the iPhone/iPod Touch and the system will do the rest. The whole upgrade suite is of 246MB, so it is recommended to have a fast broadband connection.
